The era has shifted and the promise of opportunity is rising. Oh, I know it may not look like it. But look closer. In the Information Technology field alone the Unemployment Rate has been consistently below 5%, going even as low as 3.9% here in Georgia. YOU CAN GET A JOB! However, the critical question is whether or not you are ready? Look in the mirror, know your own picture, define the truth of yourself and ask with utter sincerity, are you ready?
This blog is for those of you that are ready, and yes, for those of you that aren’t ready as well. I’m an adherent of critical thinking, and my personal mandate is to be a lifelong aspiring critical thinker. Lifelong implies that I spend my entire life learning, growing, aspiring to be better than I was in some way day by day. I would recommend you do the same … especially if you’re trying to lock the job, be it a promotion, a new position as a lateral move with your current employer, or an entirely new job all together. Or, if you don’t have a job at all, then this information is most certainly for you.
Locking the job is the essential process for securing your employment objective. It requires that you execute certain specific detailed steps. If you execute the steps as described there is absolutely no way you can’t win. Yes, I am actually willing to guarantee that you will get the job. You will lock it. You will get the promotion. You will get the position. You will find employment.
Locking the job is all about securing your employment objective through a process that is only as rigorous as it needs to be. You will ask yourself critical questions. You will do a fundamental self-assessment. You will gather the information that best describes your skillset and brand it in such a manner as to be beyond reproach.
You will look good.
You will be able to express yourself like you never have before and make your personal brand shine. Your personal brand is simply you and all the skills and abilities you bring to the job. Locking the job is about taking that brand and differentiating it. We will make you stand out from the crowd. And when you do stand out from the crowd, you will do so in such a manner as to attract the attention of those that matter, those that make the decisions, those who choose who will and who won’t get the job.
What is locking the job? It is what you will do going forward in order to achieve Critical Success in your hunt for the right position. And what is Critical Success? It is the planned achievement of something urgent and essential, utilizing careful planning and judgment for the express purpose of attaining personal prosperity. Join the journey.
